Travel Essentials from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

The #NSALE is finally here, and if you’re a Nordstrom card holder, it’s a perfect time to take advantage of early access through July 20th. From July 21st through August 6th, non-cardholders can purchase Anniversary Sale items. But once August 7th hits, the sale is over and prices go back up. Considering many items sell out and they sell out fast, it’s best to purchase as soon as possible so you don’t risk losing out on some of your favorites.

Having a wardrobe that complements your travel style is key, and I’ve rounded up my favorites that will come in handy on many different types of trips. Shop the items below!

Tory Burch Claire Ballerina FlatI am all for wearing heels but when I am traveling, especially on long flights, I want to have a pair of comfortable, yet classic shoes. Not only does Tory Burch make the comfiest shoes, but they are great to dress up a casual outfit. Paired with leggings, a tee, a sweater shawl and some simple jewelry and you’ll be put together but extremely comfortable.

Barefoot Dreams Cozychic Lite Travel Shawl: If you’re like me you’re always cold on planes, no matter what, but the second you step off the plane it’s blistering hot, so you need to make sure you dress in layers so it’s easy to manage. A comfortable, oversized shawl is perfect for travel and can be used to help keep warm on cooler nights even if you’re traveling to a warmer destination. Keep in mind this item only comes in one size.

Wolf Caroline Travel Jewelry Case: While I never travel with really expensive jewelry (not that I have much of any, let’s be real!) I do have a few pieces that I love to take on every trip. I love this case because it is sturdy, can be easily packed and has organization compartments so you’ll arrive without tangled jewelry.

Vince Camuto Prasata Bootie: I am obsessed with the detail on these booties. As soon as I saw them, I was sold. They’re a great piece to have for the transition to fall, and they are comfortable, which means no complaints after a long day of walking around Paris.

Rebecca Minkoff Small Love Embroidered Nubuck Crossbody Bag: When I travel I pack one larger tote that works as a daytime bag and can hold essentials like a camera, light sweater, etc. But for the evening, or when I leave my camera at the hotel, I prefer to have a crossbody, and this Rebecca Minkoff is stylish and it’s just the right size for your essentials. And the design will help dress up your look – bonus!

Ted Baker London Itzel Neon Poppy Cosmetics Case: I’m a sucker for all things pink, and the style of this case caught my eye. I take makeup when I travel but I don’t take everything, and this cosmetics case is a good medium-sized bag and will pack well.

S’Well Stainless Steel Water Bottle: No matter what I do I tend to be dehydrated so it’s essential for me to pack a water bottle. Due to regulations (in the US and beyond) you can’t carry liquids through security, but many airports offer water refilling stations once you pass security. I keep a water bottle handy with me at all times so I can help stay hydrated.

Nars Angel Cheek Pride Palette: Remember how I said I take makeup when I travel but I don’t take everything? It’s because so many brands have come out with awesome palettes. This one is one of my favorites. It’s a cheek palette with four blush options, a bronzer, and a highlighter.

MAC Look in a Box Advanced Brush Kit: This makeup brush set is optimal for travel because of its shorter handles. It comes with six essential brushes: Short Duo Fibre Brush, Medium Angled Shading Brush, Pencil Brush, Small Shader Brush, Precise Eye Liner Brush, and a limited-edition travel bag!

MAC Look in a Box Baby Be Cool Mini Lip Kit: If there’s one thing I’ve learned to make photos pop (the few ones that I’m in), it’s having a good lip color. I’ll admit, I don’t do it often enough but I am so much happier with the photo when you can see a nice, bold lip color. This four-piece pink-toned lip kit offers both a daytime subtle look and an evening look that’ll help those lips pop!

Beautyblender Makeup Sponge Applicator: Have you become obsessed with the beautyblender yet? If not this is a good duo to get introduced. It comes with one lavender beautyblender, one apricot beautyblender and one mini blendercleanser Solid, plus a travel-friendly bag.

Lush Raw Edge Side Slit Tee: This is a great tee for layering with the travel shawl. It comes in five colors and will look great whether paired with leggings and a shawl for travel days, or with jeans or shorts for those busy sightseeing days.

Zella Autumn High Waist Moto Ankle Leggings: Leggings have become so stylish that they look like dressy jeans but are significantly comfier. These Zella leggings are great because they allow you to feel stylish but still feel extremely comfortable – key on those 9-hour flights to Europe!

Foreo Luna Mini Compact Facial Cleansing Device: I have been using this device for the past year and am obsessed with it. I also use a few other skin cleansing brushes but none of them are small enough for travel. This Foreo Luna Mini Compact Facial Cleaning Device helps keep your skin clean and refreshed while traveling, key after those longs days exploring.

Please keep in mind many of these items sell out, so if you have any interest in purchasing an item, I highly recommend you do so as soon as possible. Once the 21st hits, the sale is open to the public, and it’s likely many of these items will sell out then if they haven’t already.

So head on over to the #NSALE, and Happy Shopping!
