How A Clean Desk Can Help Reduce Your Stress

Are you the kind of person that sometimes can’t sleep or work because your house is untidy or disorganized? If you’re anything like that, then you’re like me. Do you want to know how you can help reduce your stress in your own home? If so, keep reading on…

I often feel stressed in my home when it feels unkept. And with such a busy schedule between work and travels, I often feel like I come home and try to be productive in my home office, but it’s hard to because I spend an hour reorganizing it.

How Redecorating and Decluttering Can Help Reduce Stress

Thanks to the help of Gordmans, I decided to do a clean sweep of my desk and completely redecorate it. With my new focus on florals and design, I figured this was an excellent time to toss away the unnecessary stack of papers and junk mail and create a space to help inspire harmony and peace and foster new creative ideas!

Did you know that Gordmans is supporting the American Heart Association during the month of April and you can too? By fostering peace in your home, you can help reduce the risk of heart disease. Your home should feel like your own personal sanctuary, not something that causes you stress. When I realized my office can often be a stressful space, I realized that this was a perfect opportunity to change that. With a father who’s had heart disease and had a double bypass in 2015, this is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. I’m constantly trying to find ways to improve my own heart health for the long run, and focusing on my home is certainly one of the most important spaces that shouldn’t be stress inducing.

Want to know the best part? All of the items on my desk pictured here cost $100 total with tax! Almost all of the items were under $20, with the exception being the lamp at $29.99. The candle lantern (pictured on the far right) was $19.99, and everything else was $11.99 or under! Being able to redecorate and create a new, peaceful space for under $100 is amazing and affordable.

How You Can Help Support the American Heart Association

Throughout April, you can support the American Heart Association in partnership with Gordmans.

In-store, Gordmans will be hosting various events where you can help them give back. Check your local store to find out what they have going on.

During April, for every #GetPumpedForHeartHealth photo shared on Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag, Gordmans will donate $1.00 to support the American Heart Association. Show how you support heart health, whether in your own home, outdoors by being active, at work, or even on the go! Checkout Gordmans for more information on how to Get Pumped for Heart Health!
