On a recent trip to Florida, I spent the day exploring Palm Beach and captured some of its iconic charm. The town is photography heaven. I’ve wanted to come here for a while.
Between the charming boutique hotels and quaint stores, there was a lot to catch and explore in just a day. Below I share how to spend a day in Palm Beach, plus some recommendations from friends.
Spending a Day in Palm Beach
Palm Beach is just a short drive from Ft. Lauderdale (50 minutes) or Miami (1.25 hours). If you’re staying around the area, you can quickly drive up for a day. And if you’re staying in central or northern Florida, you can easily reach Palm Beach for an overnight trip. Palm Beach is 2.5 hours from Orlando and 4 hours from Jacksonville.
There are a few things you must do while in Palm Beach, including shopping on Worth Avenue, visiting the Breakers Hotel, and strolling around the streets to see all the beautiful houses. If you have a night and can stay, it’s definitely worth it. Our hotel recommendations are further down this article.
This famous street is known for the selection of shops and restaurants. Worth Avenue boasts some of the most famous high-end shopping, and if you explore the quaint alleyways off of it, you’ll find charming facades, boutiques, and a lot of reasons to reach for your wallet.
The Breakers – one of the worlds most iconic hotels. It’s the utmost in luxury in Palm Beach.
The Colony – after exploring a few hotels, this is my personal favorite. Between the palm wallpaper and the pink building, this has my name written all over it. It’s also a great boutique hotel, which I am a huge fan of!
The Brazillian Court Hotel – I didn’t get to spend as much time here, but it’s another highly rated, highly recommended boutique property in Palm Beach.
